Vending Machine Motors
Whether it is to dispense bottles of drink, bars of chocolate, toys, or plastic anoraks, all vending machines require motors. Motors usually operate a release mechanism inside the machine, such as a screw, small door, a robotic "non-fizz" slide or a robotic arm.
For example, in a machine designed to dispense packets of potato crisps, including a screw feature, the packets are placed in the gaps along one side of a long screw. When a particular screw is selected, motors will be required to turn, push the packet towards the end of the tube, and dispense the packet.
Or, in a "fizz-free" gentle action slide machine, motors will be required to move the various platforms and sliders to collect the drinks bottle, and then lower it to dispense.
Of course, one will usually not need a particularly large motors for operations as light as simply pulling or pushing a drink bottle or chocolate bar, therefore the DC electric motors listed on this page are of a lower power.
