Turntable Motors
To power a turntable, a motor must usually be steady, reliable, and most importantly, keep a good constant speed. For example, you wouldnt want your favourite single being sped up and raised in pitch, before being slowed and lowered like some hilarious comedy.
A vinyl turntable motor must also be able to play at different speeds. The usual speeds for a vinyl turntable are 37rpm and 45rpm, however, to be able to play extremely old records, a highly adjustable speed centered around 78 rpm is also very useful.
Another use for these electric motors is for a potters wheel. These motors must turn quicker than for vinyl turntables, but this can be acheived with the same motors, however with a loss in consistency of speed. Of course though, this does not matter as much with making vases, or bowls.
They must also be QUIET - people do not want the quiet moments in their songs to be wrecked by an irritating buzzing whirr.
Of course, these motors must give power through a gearbox
